The programming at ACC. 25 designed for Fellows in Training (FIT) offers a comprehensive educational experience designed specifically for early-career cardiovascular professionals. Attend groundbreaking Late-Breaking Clinical Trials, build your professional network, and gain essential insights into both clinical and career development aspects of cardiology.

Sessions across all 11 learning pathways feature FIT-focused content delivered through engaging formats including, interactive case presentations and debates, panel discussions and fireside chats, town halls and gameshow-style learning.

  • The Coronary, Peripheral and Structural Interventions Learning Pathway features a boot camp session that tackles practical challenges new FITs face, including navigating new procedures, managing complications and staying current with new skills (Session 245).
  • The Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Learning Pathway includes a fireside chat with some of the most important leaders in the field to discuss their career paths, the future of preventative cardiology, and tips for professional success (Session 219).
  • The Cardiac Arrhythmias Learning Pathway features an expert-led discussion examining the future of our field, including workforce challenges and strategies for maintaining excellence in training while promoting diversity and equity (Session 233).
  • The Valvular Diseases Learning Pathway (Session 235) provides insight into the future of valvular heart disease and AI, covering topics like career planning and training considerations with an esteemed panel of experts.

FITs will have an opportunity to network with cardiology leaders during the Mix & Mingle and discuss different aspects of cardiology that may help guide FITs in choosing the right career path. Finally, be sure to watch the Battle of the Chapters FIT Jeopardy Competition as ACC state chapter FIT teams compete to come out on top in this exciting and educational competition.
