Cardio Sim Creator Competition

The submission window for the Cardio Sim Creator Competition is now closed.
This exclusive competition represents the cutting edge in educational innovation from health care professionals or teams – original work that identifies and solves specific problems, enhances user skill sets, and advances training in the field.
Individuals and teams were invited to submit a 3 – 5 minute video demonstrating their simulation/simulator or game, along with the following information:
- Problem Solving and Efficacy of Your Simulation/Simulator: Provide an explanation (goal) of how your simulation/simulator adeptly addresses an underlying problem or question it was created to resolve.
- Skillsets Targeted by Your Simulation/Simulator: Clearly delineate the specific skills (learning objectives) that your simulation/simulator is designed to teach.
- Intended Audience for Your Simulation/Simulator: Define the target audience for your simulation/simulator, ensuring a clear understanding of its educational applicability.
- Assessment Metrics and Competency Evaluation: Articulate the criteria, measurements, or assessment techniques employed to gauge learning outcomes and the competency of participants.
- Significance and Seamless Integration of Your Simulation/Simulator: Highlight the importance of your simulation/simulator within the broader training context, emphasizing how it seamlessly integrates into existing educational programs or educational systems.
Eligibility Criteria
- Licensed Healthcare Professional: Submissions must be made by a licensed healthcare professional (e.g., physician, nurse, advanced practice provider, technician, or allied health professional). Submissions from companies or commercial entities are not eligible.
- Originality of Work: The simulator must represent the original work of the submitting provider, either individually or in collaboration with an academic or clinical team.
The winner will be announced in the first week of November and will be invited to present their simulation/simulator at ACC.26. The winner will be offered a faculty appointment in the Personalized Skills Zone (PSZ).
